  • Gartmorn Dam (15 minutes) , a site of special scientific interest popular with bird watchers: goldeneye, pochard, wigeon, teal, gadwall, shoveler, goosander and ruddy and tufted ducks, greylag and pinkfeet geese can all be seen at the right times of year.
  • Loch Leven, near Kinross is home to an RSPB bird sanctuary and Loch Leven Castle.
  • Drummond Gardens near Crieff, is one of the finest formal gardens in Europe.
